Bluetooth Accelerometer

Bluetooth Accelerometer

Windows

Overview

BTacc should work with the bluetooth stack that came with your adapter.

Use the CD that came with the USB Bluetooth dongle you are using or your manufacturer's supplied drivers if Bluetooth is built in. You will be able to browse the "Bluetooth Neighborhood" when the dongle is inserted. Double-click the TAIYO SPP icon, which should reveal that the device is a serial port. Double-click the serial port and data will be available on a COM port. Use Hyperterminal or your custom software to access the COM port.

Note that it is possible to identify which TAIYO SPP device (which accelerometer) you are talking to by right clicking the device in the Bluetooth Neighborhood and looking at its hardware address. This address corresponds to the one printed on the accelerometer board.

It is possible to pair multiple COM ports and accelerometers at the same time:

  • Right click bluetooth tray icon -> Setup -> Configuration
  • Select the Client Applications tab. From here you can add additional COM ports for use with more than one accelerometer.
