Symbiotic Interfaces

Symbiotic Interfaces: A Joint-Task Wearable Computer Interaction Model

Abstract
In D. C. Engelbart's 1962 paper, Augmenting Human Intellect: A Conceptual Framework, Engelbart practically defines the coming future of wearable computing. Especially interesting is the H-LAM/T (Humans using Language, Artifacts, Methodology, in which he is Trained) system concept where three roles for human computer interaction with the goal of acheiving some human desire are defined: human, computer, and composite processes.
